On some OnePlus phones like the Nord 2T, the system can be aggressive about stopping apps in the background, which may interrupt activity tracking. To help Racemate stay active during your workout, please check these settings:

1. *Allow Racemate to ignore battery optimization*Β Β Β Go to *Settings > Battery > Battery optimization*.Β Β Β Open the *All apps* list, find *Racemate*, and set it to *Don’t optimize*.

2. *Allow all app permissions needed for tracking*Β Β Β Go to *Settings > Apps > Racemate > Permissions* and make sure:

  • *Location* is set to *Allow all the time*
  • *Physical activity* is allowed
  • Notifications are allowed

3. *Enable background activity for Racemate*Β Β Β Go to *Settings > Apps > Racemate > Battery usage* or *App battery management*.Β Β Β Make sure *Allow background activity* is turned *ON*.Β Β Β On some OxygenOS versions, you may also see options like *Auto-launch*, *Foreground activity*, or *Secondary launch*. If you do, enable them for Racemate.

4. *Lock Racemate in Recent Apps before starting your activity*Β Β Β Open Racemate, then open the *Recent Apps* screen.Β Β Β Tap the *three dots* or *long-press* the Racemate app card, then choose *Lock* if that option appears.Β Β Β This can help prevent the system from clearing it from memory.

5. *Turn off battery saver before your activity*Β Β Β Go to *Settings > Battery* and make sure *Battery Saver / Power Saving Mode* is *OFF* before starting.

6. *Check location accuracy*Β Β Β Go to *Settings > Location* and make sure location is turned on and set to the highest available accuracy mode.

7. *Restart the phone after changing the settings*Β Β Β After updating all of the above, restart the device once before your next activity.

Please note that menu names can vary slightly depending on the OxygenOS version on the Nord 2T, but the key idea is: Don’t optimize Racemate, allow background activity, allow β€œall the time” location access, and lock the app in Recents before tracking.
