Heart Rate Belt Guide

Getting started

  1. Download the Racemate app from your smartphone’s app store. Visit https://racemate.ai for more information.
  2. Create a new account and complete your profile data.
  3. Go to “Activate Racemate Plus” on the profile menu and add the code you received with your smart belt.
  4. Follow the instructions to pair your belt and set your heart rate data.
  1. Heart rate sensor.
  2. Chest strap for the sensor.
  3. Micro-USB cable.
  4. Racemate plus membership code.

How to Use the Belt

  1. Make sure the sensor is already paired with Racemate.
  2. Attach the sensor to the chest strap.
  3. Wrap the strap around your chest. The sensor should be right below your chest, with its button on the top side.
  4. It is preferred that the skin below the belt is slightly wet to get more accurate heart rate readings.
  5. Switch the sensor on by pressing the button for 2 seconds. You will notice the LED light turning on.
  6. If there is a problem with the sensor, hold the button for 10 seconds until the LED light turns pink, then restart the sensor as mentioned above.

Charging Your Sensor

The sensor’s battery life is approximately 50 hours of use under average circumstances.

  1. If the battery is low, you will receive a warning on Racemate, and the sensor’s LED light will flash red.
  2. Use the micro-USB cable included with the sensor for charging.
  3. Use a regular USB-A charger with the micro-USB cable. Make sure the charger is 5V/1A to avoid damaging the sensor.
  4. Charging time is estimated to be around 2 hours.
  5. When the sensor is fully charged, the LED light will stop flashing and become a steady red.
  6. Avoid keeping the sensor connected to the charger when it’s fully charged.
  7. Always keep the USB port on the sensor dry and clean. Close the rubber led tightly after charging and make sure it is sealed before every workout to avoid getting sweat inside the sensor.
